Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory - Delhi (Delhi)

Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory, an amazing Jantar Mantar of 17th Century Astronomical Observatory, looks more like a theme park located in Delhi is build by the raja (King) of Jaipur, Sawai jai Singh II in 1725. The king used the structure to update existing astronomical tables and almanac. The main structures of Jantar Mantar are large-scale, sophisticated scientific instruments constructed in brick and plaster, and consist of extruded, interlocked shapes extremely unusual to the architecture of the period. Jantar Mantar is not only a timekeeper of celestial bodies, but it also tells about the technological achievements under the Rajput kings and their attempt to resolve the mysteries regarding astronomy.
